The Law of Attraction: everybody has at least heard something about it on the internet. This theory has been around for a while now, but I feel like the hype surrounding it is now bigger than ever. I used to be a firm believer in the law of attraction. Although I still believe in the law of attraction to some extent, I discovered some downsides to this theory as well. I did some reading recently that really changed my perspective when it comes to this way of thinking. I realized that law of attraction is an overrated theory, with a strong Western perspective, and a unhealthy & unrealistic view on life. Want to know why I changed my mind and what caused it? Definitely keep reading and watch my latest video down below!View Post
STUDY & UNIVERSITY
Everything law (school), philosophy & university related.
You've studied for days for that very important exam, but you still didn't get the grade that you wanted. Sounds familiar? If so, you will probably really enjoy this blogpost and video about How To Get Straight A's + my best study tips and advice for school after studying at uni for almost 4 years now. These tips all worked for me, and trust me - I didn't used to be a straight A student at all before university. Hopefully they work for you too!View Post
Hey guys, happy Monday! I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I'm happy the weekend is over and it's a start of a new week. I had a pretty weird weekend - kind of chill yet fucking stressful at the same time. Being ill, tired and having some bad luck is just not a good combination to be honest: think of handing in your peer review paper deadline at 23.59 and re-uploading this new Law School Vlog #32 for 3 (!) times, because Youtube had some mysterious issues. The worst part was that the university library was already closed, so I had to stand outside (freaking cold) and waited 1 hour before I finally fixed everything (my internet at home is crappy). Fortunately, everything ended up being okay, so you can imagine I feel very happy about sharing this new vlog about redecorating my loft apartment & my school advice to you today!View Post
This study year I've had to write way more essays than study for actual exams (the perks of doing a Research Master in Law and B.A. in Philosophy of a Certain Scientific Field, haha). Although I've already made a couple of study routines, they are not very relevant when it comes to writing essays. Writing essays is a completely different process than studying for exams of course. Because so many of you asked me if I would like to do a video about essay writing, I decided to share my essay writing routine for university with you guys today. This video is extremely helpful if you're writing a paper, essay or thesis! Hope you enjoy!View Post
Hey guys! So I guess most of you already know this, but if you don't: I got into George Washington University Law School (GWU) in Washington DC to study a semester abroad there starting from August this year! This means that I will be moving to a foreign country to study for a half year abroad. I'm so excited, yet also scared at the same time. This is going to be a life changing chapter of my life. However, I know a lot of you are going through someting like this as well, or just considering studying abroad. That's why I want to take you on this journey with me, not only when I'm actually in DC, but also when it comes to the preparations for studying abroad. I think this can be SO helpful, especially because there are so many things you need to do beforehand. In this USA Study Abroad Series I'm going to talk about different topics YOU would like to hear about when moving to a foreign country to study there. This first episode is all about how I got into this foreign GWU university, so I hope you enjoy!View Post
