I know I’m terribly late for this blogpost, but I thought yolo, I’m going to post it anyways! So yeah, this blogpost is going to be about my 1st day of Christmas face of the day. If you’re interested in the outfit I wore that day, click here! I was kind of in a rush getting ready that day, so it didn’t turn out exactly as I wanted, but I don’t mind.
I decided to go for a golden, subtle smokey eye, with a heavy black eyeliner and a lot of mascara. I think gold colours look good on everybody, they’re failproof. All the eyeshadows I used were from the Naked 1 palette. I love that thing, but I don’t use it that often. Only for special occasions like this haha. But the eyeshadows are good quality, they’re very pigmented.
In this picture you can see that I used a lot of highlighter, under my browbone, on my cheeks and in my inner tearduct. I used the Mineral Skin Finish Soft & Gentle from MAC. It’s kinda expensive, but because it contains a lot of product, it’s worth the price. I don’t think I’ll ever finish one, haha. And I also really like the product itself of course! It leaves a nice sheen on your skin, without making it too glittery. It still looks natural. I also used Nars Deep Throat (the name though, haha) as blush, and MAC Harmony as bronzer. MAC Harmony is the only bronzer I can use, that isn’t too orange for me. I’m very pale, so almost every bronzer looks orange when I put it on, and I end up looking like a Oompa-Loompa haha!
I first blow dried my hair, and then I curled it with a 1 inch Remington curling iron. I love the way it turned out, I think it’s very Victoria’s Secret-ish haha!
And this is how I painted my nails. You can’t see it here, but my nails are actually a bit smudged, and not perfect at all, haha. The golden nailpolish is from Catrice and it’s Goldfinger. The glitter topcoat I used is also from Catrice and it’s called Million Dollar Baby. The knucklerings I’m wearing are from H&M by the way!
And this was the total look!
