FACE OF THE DAY: PEACHY SWAG

Hey!
At the moment I’m in Barcalona! And yes, I managed to still blog a bit for you guys up front, yay! It’s been a really long time since the last time I posted a fotd, so I thought it was time again. For this look, I used a lot of peachy toned colours. I got inspired by my new MAC lipstick to wear more peachy colours (click here for the review). I’m used to wearing more cool tones, so it’s nice to switch it up for the summer I think. Anyways, if you want to see all the products that I used and how I achieved this look, keep reading!

I’m going to talk about which products I used and how I’ve applied them to my face, so I hope this will be helpful for you! I have really bad skin, but I don’t use foundation: I only use concealer, because I feel like this gives a more natural finish to my skin. I like really creamy, liquidy concealers, otherwise my dry patches will get accentuated. On top of that I always use powder. Now I’m trying the MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in Light and I’m really liking it for now. It’s really light and doesn’t make your skin cakey. Only thing is that I do still get shiny after a while.
For my eyes, I used my new W7 In The Buff palette. I used the colour Sand all over my eyelids as a base and as my highlighter. I really like using highlight colours as my lid colours, because I feel like it brightens your eyes even more. In my outer v and a bit on the highest points of my lids I used the golden colour Sand. As my crease colour I put on some Dust, a warm, shimmery brown colour. I topped it off with a winged eyeliner and loads of mascara (these are my natural lashes, no falsies here!).
For my other faceproducts I always use a bronzer, blush and highlighter. I don’t have very prominent cheekbones, so contouring for me is a must, although I can’t really overdo it, otherwise it will look fake. I think I found the nicest blush ever to go with my lipstick, Benefit CORALista to be exact. They just look like they are made for each other, and give my skin a really pretty glow I think!
Okay, I know, this look is way too seductive lol.
On my lips I’m wearing my favourite peachy combo, which actually inspired this whole peachy theme. I’m wearing MAC Naked lipliner, which I’ve put on my whole lips and a bit outside them as well (only a bit though, otherwise it’s way to fake). I topped it off with MAC Pure Zen lipstick. I think these two go perfectly together.
The products that I used are:
  • Maybelline Fit Me concealer in 15
  • L’Oreal Lumi Magique concealer in Light
  • MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in Light
  • Benefit Blush in CORALista
  • MAC Blush in Harmony
  • MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle
  • Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde
  • Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil in Ash Blonde (I only use the spooly ’cause it’s empty)
  • Catrice Lash/Brow Designer Gel
  • Catrice Prime And Fine Eyeshadow Base
  • W7 In The Buff Natural Nudes Eyeshadow Palette
  • MAC Naked lipliner
  • MAC Pure Zen lipstick
  • L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim eyeliner (forgot to put in the picture, sorry!)
  • MaxFactor False Lash Effect mascara
  • Catrice All Round Waterproof mascara
So much stuff, I know…
I used the following brushes/tools to apply my products:
    • Fake beautyblender/egg sponge from Sephora
    • MAC 187 duo fibre brush
    • MAC 168 large angled contour brush
    • MAC 129 powder/blush brush
    • Fan brush from Hema
    • MAC 266 small angle brush
    • Eyeshadow brush from the W7 palette
    • MAC 217 blending brush
    • NARS smudge brush
And even more stuff to apply it with, dayuuum…
Well, I hope you enjoyed reading about this face of the day and found it a bit informative? If you want me to do more of these posts or if you want me to do a make up tutorial, let me know in the comments below. Now I’m going to do my make up for today and go shopping in Barcalona! It’s so freaking hot and I got heavily sunburned unfortunately :(. Have a nice day guys!

Such a pretty look and no way that those aren’t fake, really nice job on the lashes! How do you like the Fan brush from Hema? Thinking of buying such a brush type, so curious.Aloe vera gel helps a lot on sunburns!
