Gucci's creative director has been KILLING it lately (shout out to Alessandro Michele!). I think we can safely say that the 'new' Gucci has been completely reinvented and exploded massively; almost every blogger I see on Instagram owns at least one item from this brand! Although I can understand that some people are set off by this hype (and of course, the price), I genuinely love Gucci's designs and I know I will still love them after the trend fades away. So that's why I did some shopping recently and ended up with a mini Gucci haul, containing the GG Marmont Belt & Cruise Collection Bengal Wallet. These items go perfectly with my style, hence I decided to invest in them! If you want to know more about these beauties and hear my opinion about the quality and price of them, keep reading!
Gucci Bengal zip card case
The Gucci Bengal zip card case is part of the Gucci Cruise 2017 Collection. In my opinion, this is one of the prettiest variantions Gucci has created on their iconic print so far. It's a zip around card case made in GG Supreme canvas with Gucci Bengal print, introduced for Cruise 2017. The print depicts tigers scattered amongst a colorful forest represented through brushstroke-style graphics to create a three-dimensional effect against the GG motif. The wallet is a combination of canvas and leather, making it feel very sturdy and easy to clean. Another thing that is good to know is that the GG Supreme canvas with Gucci Bengal print used for this wallet is a material with with low environmental impact. It has 3 compartments and a golden, all around closure. The size of this zip card case is 5"W x 3"H x 1"D, making it the perfect size for a small wallet. Personally, I find real wallets too big, and card holders to small for my taste. This zip card case is perfect for people that have more cards than actually fit in a cardholder, while still wanting that slim and compact look.
The Gucci Bengal zip card case retails for $295 USD (couldn't find the exact price in euros) and you can find it here.
Leather belt with double G buckle
The Leather belt with double G buckle is the last item in this haul. It's a slim leather belt with our signature double G buckle (GG Marmont style). It's made from black, smooth hardware with brass gold hardware. It also has a leather loop hole attached to the belt, making it perfect to wear with dresses, skirts or any clothing items that don't have any belt holes. There are three different sizes when it comes to this belt, and I went for the medium width in size 80 cm, which is officially the men's belt. I personally find the smaller size too small to really make a statement, and the bigger size too big for my posture. This medium, men's size belt is perfect for me! It's big enough to make a statement, but it's not obnoxious whatsoever. I'm completely in love with the look of this belt. It looks good with any pair of jeans. Due to the fact I wear jeans on a daily basis, I felt like this belt would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe to spice things up. And I guess I was right, because I have been wearing it at least 4 times a week since I got it!
The Leather belt with double G buckle retails for €295 (couldn't find the exact price in USD) and you can find it here.
How To Style
Although both these pieces are super versatile to style, I always like to match my Gucci Bengal zip card case with my Gucci Dionysus GG Supreme Designer Bag. The prints match perfectly with each other and the Bengal print of the wallet adds a cute, different touch to the more classic Dionysus. When it comes to the belt, I love pairing it with a cute dress and, of course, also my Gucci Dionysus GG Supreme Designer Bag. I just think they go perfectly together!
SHOP THE ITEMS
As you can see, I'm super happy with my two Gucci purchases. I have been using these items religiously since I got them, because they go perfectly with my style, are well-made and just give me that instant touch of luxury feeling. I would love to know what you think of these two items from Gucci and if you have any designer item on your wishlist at the moment. Let me know in the comments down below!
