Whenever I know that I’m going to visit a particular city, I like to browse for cool places or hotspots to check out beforehand. Even if it’s a city that I already know pretty well – it’s always nice to discover new things right? That’s why I love hotspot blogposts so much, because they’re very helpful. For example, Amsterdam is definitely a city that I know well, but recently I’ve discovered a cool hotspot that I wanted to share with you in this post. It’s called Café George Amsterdam and they have a-ma-zing food and the atmosphere of this café is very blogger proof too. It’s also located in the perfect neighbourhood, so it’s easy to find. Did I make you curious?
Location + Interior
The proverbial French-brasserie-in-New-York… But then in Amsterdam. That’s how Café George describes itself and I think that’s pretty accurate! It’s open from 11 through 23, so you can be a diehard and go there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This hotspot is located at Leidsegracht 84, Amsterdam, which means it’s totally in the city centre. For those of you that know Amsterdam a bit: go to Leidseplein, walk towards Melkweg and then keep walking while going to the right. You definitely can’t miss it, just search for some cute French looking chairs and tables and you’re good to go :). The interior from the inside is also very stylish (marble tables, yes please). So I definitely feel like Café George is just the perfect blogger place interior wise, haha!
Coffee fix
Being a big coffee lover, I always need to get my daily coffee fix – obviously. We ordered a latte macchiato and a cappuccino. The latte macchiato was nothing special, but the cappuccino was really good! And just look at how cute the cup is by the way <3.
The food
I’ve been to Café George twice now, and the first time was with Josie (hiii girl). We decided to order some healthy salads, twisted fries and grilled veggies. Healthy, if you don’t count the fries, haha! We both really liked the food! Only thing was that the waiter spilled some super hot water over my feet, which was pretty awful.
Even more food! Second time I’ve visited this hotspot it was with my grandma. I went for a steak fries and she ordered some tuna with avocado; both very tasty, yet again! So food wise Café George is definitely a good spot to check out!
I hope you like this hotspot article. Personally, they’re one of my fave blogposts to read, so be prepared for some new hotspots posts in the near future too. I have a lot of cool places in Groningen that I’ve never mentioned, and I think that needs to change ;).

P.S. This was also the time that I’ve met Tyler, The Creator before his concert in Paradiso! Josie and I first saw the movie Moonrise Kingdom together with all of Tyler’s fans and after that he, Jasper and Taco came over to hang with us. He was really nice, so glad to have met him! We also got some priority passes, so me and Josie had an awesome front row spot without having to wait in line. It was a great experience :).
