I have a love-hate relationship when it comes to bread and sandwiches. Or maybe a very picky one. You’ll never find me eating a typical Dutch sandwich with cheese or peanut butter. I just really don’t care for the taste. But eating some fresh, still hot, baked bread or sandwich is something that I wouldn’t trade for the world. Luckily (or not so luckily for my wallet), I found the perfect bakery in Groningen that’s super close to my home as well. It’s called Miss Blanche Bakery and they have fresh bread, tasty sandwiches and an amazing interior. Did I make you curious?
Location
Miss Blanche Bakery is located at Brugstraat 28, Groningen. This is between the city centre and the neighbourhood Westerhaven, which makes it fairly easy to find. Bakery Blanche is actually part of the hotel Miss Blanche. Visitors of the hotel can get some nice food at the bakery next to the hotel whenever they’re craving some bread. Which is usually all the time, right?! The bakery is open til 17.00 o’ clock (and sometimes til 18.00), as well as on Sunday.
Interior
One of the things that I really like about Bakery Blanche is the interior. I feel like they made this bakery specially for me: everything is marble and rose gold. Like how perfect is that for me? All the tables are perfect for marble flatlays (#bloggerlife) and they even have a fancy rose gold coloured toilet door. Yeah, call that some next level stuff. Oh and they have a lot of cute hanging plants too. <3
The food
Let’s talk important stuff: the food! First thing that really stood out to me at this bakery is the choice you have. There are so many different breads that you can try out. But they also have a nice make-your-sandwich section + one of the best pain au chocolat that I’ve tried as well. I ordered a sandwich with rocket salad and filet american and it was super yummy. Loved it!
Next time you’re in the neighbourhood, definitely check out the Miss Blanche Bakery out. You won’t regret it, trust me! I can’t wait to go back there for another good sandwich with a perfect blogger photo location in one, haha. I’m already debating which sandwich I’m going to try next…
