Marseille Hotspot Travel Guide

Marseille Hotspot Travel Guide

In my previous travel themed blogpost I talked about my mini trip to Paris. However, there is much more to France than only the city of love. Me and my bestie booked a vacay to the beautiful city of Marseille. In today's blogpost I will be sharing all my favorite hotspots and things to do there. So if you're looking for a new holiday destination, definitely keep reading this Marseille Hotspot Travel Guide!

I'm wearing a Dolce & Gabbana inspired dress from Zaful (shop here), paired with my beloved Gucci Marmont belt (shop here + more info about it here). I finished the look off with my Alexander Wang Nadia Sandals (shop here + more info about it here), Gentle Monster sunglasses (shop here + more info about it here), and my new Gucci Nymphaea bag I bought in Marseille (shop here + more info about it here).

For my outfit I'm wearing a thrifed Levi's denim jacket, high waisted shorts from Monki (shop here) and my favorite striped tee from Topshop (shop here). To complete the outfit, I added the Gucci Marmont belt (shop here + more info about it here), my new Gucci Nymphaea bag I bought in Marseille (shop here + more info about it here), Alexander Wang Nadia Sandals (shop here + more info about it here), and my Gentle Monster sunglasses (shop here + more info about it here).

THE OLD PORT

The most famous part of Marseille is the Old Port. It is really the heart of the city. You can find tons of different cafés, ice cream shops and bars here and the atmosphere is definitely great. I would personally recommend going for a walk down the boulevard (and grab some ice cream from Häagen-Dazs while you're at it) and take a ride on the ferris wheel - it's the most beautiful view ever, especially during sunset!

MARSEILLE CATHEDRAL

One place you definitely have to visit if you're in Marseille is the Marseille Cathedral. It's one of the prettiest cathedrals I've ever seen (just look at that architecture!), plus the entrance is free. If you like to experience more cultural things during your vacays, without 'losing' the whole day, a little trip to the Marseille cathedral is perfect! Especially if you're into marble like me, because it has beautiful red marble pillars. It's about a 20-30 minute walk from the Old Port.

Address: Place de la Major, 13002 Marseille, France.

HOTSPOT: DAMDY'S

If you're looking for a more healthy hotspot, Damdy's is the place to be. This really cute hotspot serves smoothies, juices, salads, quiches and sandwiches. You can definitely find something you will enjoy! Okkie and I both went for a delicious smoothie and also ordered a quiche and a salad. Damdy's is located at the end of the Old Port, so it's the perfect pit stop if you're thinking about going to Mucem or Marseille Cathedral.

Address: 148bis Quai du Port, 13002 Marseille, France

HOTSPOT: LE COURS ET VERT

Last but not least, we visited this cute hotspot called Le Cours Et Vert. This is a vegetarian restaurant with new dishes added to the menu every week. Also, good to know for all my blogger babes: this place has the prettiest marble tables that's perfect for any flatlay or food pictures for Instagram! You're welcome. 😉

Address: 102 Cours Julien, 13006 Marseille, France.
