PARIS DIARIES | Exploring Jardin du Palais Royal

Good morning, again from my Airbnb in pretty Paris (am I making you jealous? Sorry, not sorry haha!). Today I’m going to share everything I did on my second day in Paris, including exploring the city centre and visiting Jardin du Palais Royal. So keep reading if you want to know the full story!

PARIS DIARIES | Exploring Jardin du Palais Royal

So after waking up pretty early (my body is still in exam mode – everyday I’m waking up at 8 AM, even if I fall asleep at 2 AM or something), we went out to grab some breakfast. The plan was to go to this hotspot called Marcel. It was quite far from our Airbnb, so we had to take a long walk. When we finally arrived there it was totally booked, so we couldn’t eat there without a reservation – bummer! We ended up eating somewhere kind of touristy and overpriced, which was not so nice (Le Babylone if you’re interested).

So after a bit of a fail, we went to the Grand Palais and got one of the best ice creams ever at Amorino. It was so good! We also went on a ferris wheel, which was so cool! I usually never go up on a ferris wheel, but now I’m going it to do it more often – the view was just stunning! We took a detour to the Louvre and then we finally arrived at t the Jardin du Palais Royal. I loved the architecture of this place and the fact that it was so photogenic! After making some pictures and footage there, we came across Galerie Lafayette. They had a huuuuge sale going on, it was crazy inside (like Primark x 10 times crazy). I did spot two very cute Alexander Wang bags there that had a 50% discount going on. I didn’t get them, and now they’re on my mind. Nothing hunts you like the things we didn’t buy you know! Anyways, we walked sooo much the whole day, we decided to just grab some dinner and call it a great day!

I can’t wait to show you it all. Why is creating content so much easier Γ‘nd more fu when you’re abroad? I guess that’s one of the mysteries of travelling… Can’t wait to go travelling again! My next trip will be Mallorca with my bestie Okkie in July. That’s going to be so much fun as well! Oh and if you’re wondering, yes, there’s going to be a Travel Vlog of Paris Γ‘nd a Summer Lookbook! Anyways, today is already our last day here, unfortunately… Our train leaves at 4 PM, so we have to start early if we still want to do some sight seeing and shopping here! Talk to you tomorrow in my last Paris Diary!

HAVE YOU BEEN TO PARIS BEFORE?

Ahhhh leuk! Gallerie Lafayette heeft op het dak een super mooi uitzichtpunt over de stad! Dus dat is sowieso al een reden/goed excuus om nog eventjes terug te gaan hihi! Have fun girl! X

Your day sounds great! Yes, I’ve been to Paris before – but only for one day. You can take the TGV from Stuttgatr (where I live) directly to Paris so we left at 6am and came back around 10pm. It was amazing though! x
