[dropca]S[/dropcap]antorini is one of those places everyone wants to visit at least once in their lifetime. It is by far one of the most beautiful islands of Greece, due to its stunning nature and breathtaking sunsets. I have been fortunate enough to have been to this island twice, but the previous time is already years ago. I did not even had a blog back then, haha! In today's blogpost I wanted to share my Santorini Travel Diary with you, and hopefully inspire you and give you some tips if you are considering going to Santorini yourself as well!
I didn't really start off my trip on a positive note. My mom and I took the speed boat from Mykonos to Santorini, and it was definitely a struggle. The sea was extremely rough, so I got sea sick as hell. I went to bed quite early that day and woke up feeling much better. Hello sexy! ;)
De Sol Hotel & Spa
De Sol Hotel & Spa
The hotel we stayed at was definitely beautiful. It was new and had a modern atmosphere. However, it was located outside of the city center and quite far from the beach. Personally, I prefer staying in the city center or at the coast, so I would not really recommend this hotel for that reason. It did offer a very good breakfast, beautiful pool and free shuttle service to Kamari, which is not as popular as Oia, but in my opinion just as beautiful!
Address: Fira, Thira 847 00, Griekenland
The sunset view in Thira - I miss it every single day. Although Oia is the more hyped up option for viewing the stunning sunset in Santorini, Thira is just as beautiful in my opinion! If you're wondering about my outfit, you can find my Self-Portrait Dress here. In this blogpost you can check it out in more detail as well! The bag in this outfit is the Gucci Nymphaea. You can shop it here and read my review about it here.
The view in Thira by day. I love the contrast of all the little white houses and the deep blue sea! Also, I was wearing another one of my favorite outfits: A white tee from Zara, my Gucci belt (review here + shop here), Levi's vintage shorts and my Gucci Nymphaea bag again (review here + shop here).
Another city we visited was Kamari. Kamari is located on the other side of the island, and has much more of a sea/tropical vibe to it. Definitely take a stroll down the sea boulevard, because it is beautiful! You can also find a lot of good hotspots here.
I definitely wore multiple simple outfits in Santorini, which I personally really enjoy. On top, I'm wearing this striped tee from Lolly's Laundry and my shorts are from Monki. I finished the look off with my Gucci Nymphaea bag (review here + shop here), Gucci Belt (review here + shop here), Alexander Wang shoes and my Gentle Monster sunglasses (review here + shop here).
Of course I had to check out the famous city of Oia after seeing my Instagram feed get spammed with loads of perfect pictures. Unfortunately, my mom and I only had time to visit Oia during our last day in Santorini. I was so busy launching my stationery webshop Supplied by Lily that I had to work during vacay. We missed the sunset, because we left our apartment too late and had to watch it through our taxi - it really sucked. However, we still managed to take these snaps. I guess we have a reason to come back soon too! My dress is from Zaful (shop here), my shoes are from New Look and my bag is the Gucci Nymphaea bag (review here + shop here).
