HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS. Everyone has a certain picture of how they want their life to look like. For example, you want to change the world, move to a different country or become the best in your profession. However, most people are scared to actually chase after their goals, because their dreams are too big, too scary or too hard. 'I'm not good enough. My dreams are unrealistic. I'm never going to succeed.' These are thoughts we all think from time to time, but they are not true. I firmly believe that you, yes, you reading this, are good enough to achieve anything you want. The only thing that you need to do is to discard your fear of failing. If you want to know how I do it, check out my newest video about 5 Tips For Achieving Your Goals down below.
"Like all dreamers, I mistook disenchantment for truth." - Jean-Paul Sartre
1. Think About What and Why You Want to Achieve a Certain Goal
Most things I've seen and read about goal-achieving are only focusing on figuring out what your goals are and how to achieve them. I'm not saying this is not important - it is - but, in my opinion, the most important question to ask yourself is not only what your goals are, but why you want to achieve those certain goals. Understanding your motivators and where it comes from can help you figure out what you really want to be doing in your life.
2. Write All Your Dreams and Goals Down
I feel like it's very important to write your goals down. This helps not only to specify your goals even more, but it also helps you visualise them. Writing your goals down triggers your mind to start thinking about what you want, which makes it easier to actively focus on achieving those dreams.
3. Think of the Steps You Need to Take to Achieve Your Dreams or Goals
Most people actually never even consider their big dreams will become reality. However, if you think like that, indeed, you will never be able to do it. Try to cut your dreams up in smaller, achievable steps instead. This way, your dreams or goals won't seem like they are impossible and you are slowly getting closer to want you want.
4. Try to Ask Advice From People that Already Did What You Wanted
This is important, because not only are these people already at a place in life where you want to be at and they can help you understand what you need to do to get there, but also because they can tell you how it is to actually be there. Maybe it will be completely different than you expected it to be, which can help you figure out your dreams and goals even more.
5. There's More to Life Than Only Goals
Last, but so not least: try to relativize the importance of achieving goals. Yes, goals and dreams are important, but there's more to life than only that. I believe that achieving your dreams and goals should bring you closer to your happiness, but that there also other things that will do that as well. Achieving your goals and becoming a happy person and living a happy life are two separate things. It's good to keep that in mind and not blind yourself only with thinking about achieving your next goal.
