5 Tips For A Relaxing Yet Productive Night For Law School/University

University can be stressful. That’s no secret. But how can you deal with wind down, while still being productive? I almost never take a day off for some ‘me-time’, despite the fact I sometimes really could use it. That’s why I wanted to show you my Night Time Routine video for Law School/University, including 5 tips for a relaxing yet productive night. Hope you enjoy!

1. CLEAN & COSY ENVIRONMENT

First of all, I’ve noticed a big difference in my mindstate whenever my room is clean or messy. A messy room is a messy mind. That’s why I recommend having a clean yet cosy environment to work in. Do some vacuum cleaning, turn on your favorite candles and cosy up under a blanket!

2. RELAXING READING SPOT

Speaking of cosying up under a blanket: what about doing that while working on the reading material of the week? I find doing my readings on my couch with some hot coco, a lot of scented candles and a soft blanket quite relaxing, yet productive. It makes working late at night just a little bit more fun!

3. REWARD YOURSELF AFTERWARDS

After working your ass off the whole day, it’s totally okay to reward yourself afterwards (yes, even if you didn’t manage to finish your whole to-do list, haha). I like to give myself a reward by eating my favorite snack or watching a new episode of a show (or both, haha). We all need that rewarding feeling sometimes: I’m convinced it will make you feel motivated to work harder too!

4.  MULTITASK

Summarizing criminal law and taking care of yourself at the same time? Hell yes! Why not put on a nice face mask while you’re studying or painting your nails during an online lecture. Those little things can really make you feel a bit better about yourself ánd it will make studying late at night more bearable and relaxing!

5. TRY TO SLEEP BEFORE 12 O’ CLOCK

I have to admit, I’m pretty bad at this one myself: trying to sleep before 12 o’ clock. I’m a night owl, so I like to work at night. However, it’s actually not that healthy for your body to go to bed very late. So whenever you can, try to sleep a bit earlier, preferably before 12 PM. An especially if you had a relaxing and productive night before! 😉
