If you follow me for a while, you’ll know that I don’t really feature any perfumes on a regular basis. I actually never write about perfumes on my blog. The reason why? I find it pretty annoying to read about how perfumes smell without having the chance to actually smell it. Whenever I read about a perfume, I just want to try it out immediately! If there was a possibility to transfer fragrances through your screen… Aaaanyways, I find it kind of useless to ‘tell’ you how things smell. Fragrances are so personal, it’s just way easier to go to a beauty store and pick a perfume yourself. With that being said, recently I bought and received a couple of perfumes that I’m totally in love with. I’m that type of girl that usually wears one perfume as a signature scent until it’s empty. After I got these couple fragrances though, that kinda changed. I love them all, so I like to switch them up everyday! Curious about how I smell (lol)? Keep reading then!
Chloé by Chloé Eau de Toilette
Notes: The topnotes are dewy floral fragrance of white roses, exuding airy freshness. A delicate and elegant bouquet of white roses in the heart of the perfume is enriched by bergamot, lemon, magnolia, gardenia, rose buds, cotton flower and musk.
For me, this perfume is the perfect mix between powdery, fresh and floral scents. The original Chloé by Chloé Eau de Parfum is a bit too heavy and too powdery for my taste, but used to be one of my mom’s favorites. This scent definitely reminds me of her (in a good way), but is more fresh and girly. I feel like a lot of people will like this scent, because it’s very soft and has a little bit of everything in it. The bottle of course is to do for too. I use the body lotion first, then I apply the body mist and lastly I top it off with the eau de toilette. This way the scent lingers on me (almost) the whole day, despite the fact it’s such a soft scent. Oh and by the way, how cute are the little Chloé pencils, notebook and eraser in the back? I got them when I purchased the Eau de Toilette + Body Lotion set, so cute!
Miu Miu by Miu Miu Eau de Toilette
Notes: The topnotes are lily of the valley flowers supported with floral notes of jasmine, rose and green notes, as well as a special ingredient created by Givaudan, akigalawood, which develops the scent of patchouli, notes of pepper and woody aromas of oud in the heart of the perfume.
This perfume is completely different to the previous one. Miu Miu by Miu Miu is also kind of fresh and floral, but doesn’t contain any notes of powderiness. It has a way more spicy/woody base in my opinion, making it a stronger and edgier scent. I think this is scent is definitely a love-it-or-leave-it kind of smell. If you love it though, you’ll have an unique signature scent that will definitely make you feel like a girlboss, without being too heavy! I have the showergel and the eau the toilette of this scent and it makes my whole shower smell good whenever I use it. The staying power of this perfume is pretty good too, especially because the base of the perfume is so strong. Love it!
Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau de Toilette
Notes: The top notes are Italian plum, saffron and iris. Bulgarian rose, Sambac jasmine and orris root form the heart of the perfume, while the base includes warm liquid amber, vetiver and papyrus wood.
Last, but not least is this Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau de Toilette. I only have miniature version of this perfume, but it’s still super cute right? I feel like this bottle is one of the prettiest bottles I’ve seen (you all know the little bag the original perfume is in, so freaking cute!). Marc Jacobs just always kills it with the packaging if you ask me. This scent is a bit sweeter than the others, but definitely not in a sickening way – I hate that shit. It’s floral, a bit fresh and has an interesting, warmer base. I say go and try it out in stores, ’cause I think it’s really special! So yeah, adding a full size of this perfume soon to my vanity…
I hope you enjoyed reading about these delicious perfumes – even though you couldn’t smell them. I would love to know what your favourite signature scent is (or if you even have one to begin with). I love discovering perfumes know, I feel like they will become my new obsession…
