One of my favorite trends this season is the belt over blazer look. I've been seeing this trend everywhere on my Instagram feed, and I totally get why. It's the perfect way to change it up for this new season! If you want to update your look for the Spring time, without actually spending any of your coin, you have to try out this look. Add a belt to any of your oversized blazers (or raid the brother's, dad's, or boyfriend's closet!) and you just elevated your look to something unique and classy. If you want to see more details about this outfit, and how I did it, keep reading.

THE BELT OF BLAZER LOOK
I love the look of oversized blazers, especially on petite girls like me. There is something incredibly sexy about pulling off oversized menswear. It makes you feel powerful and in control: Even though you're wearing a piece that is very formal and traditional, you're slightly bending the rules into your direction.
However, sometimes don't want to look like I'm drowing in my clothes, yet still have this same, powerful feeling. Instead of opting for something more fitted, I decided to try out the belt over blazer trend. Although I was sceptical in the beginning, I have to say that I am completely obsessed with it now. It gives a new vibe to any blazer you already own, which is perfect if you want to update your look without spending money.
For this outfit, I paired my oversized H&M blazer I got during the Black Friday sale with my Gucci belt. The Gucci belt instantly makes the whole outfit look very expensive, even though I paid less than $30 for the blazer itself! I also wore one of my favorite new discoveries from Zara: A white wrap blouse that I've been wearing like cray cray lately. Another favorite of mine are my Monki Kimomo mom jeans. These are the most flattering mom jeans I've come across so far.
When it comes to my accessories, I wanted to keep things monochrome. I opted for my black ankle boots from Nine West - they've been a real staple in my wardrobe lately. I think I've been wearing these babies almost every day of the week! Another staple in my closet is my Gucci Nymphaea bag. I especially love the bamboo handles and the size of this bag: It's not too big for my petite frame, yet it does fit all my essentials (even my mirrorless camera!). Finally, I finished the look with my Céline sunglasses. I don't wear them that often, because I usually go for my Gentle Monster pairs, but this look made me realize I have to wear them more often!

Aww thank you so much! xo
Such a good way to bring shape to an unstructured blazer! I love that you posted this outfit because I’ve had a blazer with the same type of material hanging in my closet just waiting to be outfitted, but could never come up with anything. Thanks Lilia
