BLOG TIPS | Falcon Eyes Ringlight

BLOG TIPS | FALCON EYES RINGLIGHTBloggers, be alert: ‘Cause it’s time for some blog tips that are coming your way today! Now that the sunny days are over and Winter is right around a corner (yeah you heard that right, Winter is coming…), I really wanted to invest in some lighting for my blog and Youtube channel. Especially when it comes to photographing your face beat of filming make-up tutorials, it’s very important to have good lighting. It makes a world of a difference, trust me! So for my birthday, one of the presents that I got was actually this Falcon Eyes Ringlight. And today I’m going to tell you why you need this in your life!

specifics

So, what is this for lamp? Well if you didn’t know: one of the reasons all the big beauty gurus have such amazing make-up photos is due to this baby, a ringlight. Ringlights distribute the light in a very flattering way all over your face, accentuating all the shimmers and highlights. Yeah, sounds perfect right? I have the Falcon Eyes FLC-28 + TMB-18Z Fluorescent Ring Lamp. It provides a continuous light output of 28W, which has a power comparability of 140W. You can attach it to your tripod, which I find the easiest way to use it.

usage

So how do you use thing ringlight thingy? Well, as I already said, I like to attach it to my tripod and then put my camera in the middle of it. This way your camera has the perfect position for photography or filming. This is all fairly easy by the way, it took me just a couple of minutes to set this up! So yeah, this lamp is definitely great for any make-up close-ups. But of course, you can also use it as a regular lamp if it’s already getting dark outside. Because the lamp has white lighting, it looks really realistic and natural. Hate that yellow lighting a lot of lamps give…

effect

Now onto the fun part, the effect. The first and third picture is without a ringlight, the second, fourth and last one with. I mean, you can clearly see the difference right?! In the pictures without a ringlight, you can barely see any shimmers, glitters or higlighter whatsoever, while in the pictures with a ringlight it’s poppin’! My make-up has definitely never looked so good before in pictures, let me tell you that. I do need to learn a bit more about the settings of my camera to go with this lamp though, because I want to try to fix the darker background. If any of you have tips for that, let me know!

yay or nay?

This is definitely a yay for me. I love the effect that it gives, because now my make-up looks really pretty in photos, finally! If you’re also getting into more make-up/Youtube related stuff, this lamp is an essential. For pure fashionbloggers this lamp isn’t that interesting I would say. Although it makes your hair look very shiny, haha.

So did I convince you? If so, you can find this particular ringlight here. Either way, I hope you found this blogpost helpful! If you’re interested in an article about all of my blog tools and such, comment it down below. I’ll definitely be able to do something like that!

Lil’ personal update: yesterday I had my second exam, Public International Law. I have an okay feeling about this exam. It was very different to our usual exams, so I have no idea how I did it… Please keep your fingers crossed for me! My last, but unfortunately so not least exam is Constitutional Law 3 next Friday. After that I finally freaking done with my exams and I can get back to my normal life again, yaass. <3
