Exactly one week ago, I was invited to go to a Blogger Lunch organized by Leijtens PR for the brands Tweezerman, Alessandro & Planter’s. Although I had no idea what to expect, I was really excited to go, because it was in Den Bosch and I’ve never been there. During the lunch we would see all the new and upcoming products that these brands are going to release next season and I must say, it’s pretty awesome if you ask me! So yeah, if you wanna see a sneakpeek of what is going to be in store very soon, keep reading!
As I already told you, the event was in Den Bosch in a restaurant called ‘Dit’. It had a very cosy atmosphere and the interior was definitely on point. We all sat around a long table that had the new products, nice drinks and good food on it. Perfect! Every food matched with one of the new products, which was nice touch in my opinion. They served typical American burgers when we had a presentation about the new Tweezerman products (Tweezerman is an American brand), we had mediterranean coloured salad when we were talking about Alessandro and we finished off with a delicious green dessert when we saw all the new Planter’s stuff. I love it when people are trying to make an effort in a unique way!
How pretty is all this nail stuff from Alessandro? I never tried their Striplac polishes (they’re like gel polish), but I heard great things about it. I did get some Striplac polishes in my goodiebag, but because I don’t have the UV-lamp that you need to use the polish, I can’t give you my opinion about them in a review. Do you have any experience with these gel polishes?
But now the question you probably all wanna know: what did I get in the goodiebag?
Let’s start off with Tweezerman. First of all I got this really cool No Mess Mascara Guard. It’s a tool that you can use if you always mess up your eyeshadow while doing you mascara. I think Tweezerman invented this tool for me personally, ’cause that happens to me literally every freaking day, haha. They also gave me they’re newest lash curler with a silicone band and a 4 steps buffing file. I didn’t have a lash curler and my old buffing file wasn’t doing anything for my nails anymore, so again, perfect timing! The products will be available in March (the lash curler will be available in stores in June).
Next up are all the Alessandro goodies. I got 3 Striplac polishes as I already told you, but I also got 3 regular nail polishes that are tiny, so perfect for on the go! I also got a hand cream and a nail file, which are always handy to have. But 3 products definitely stood out for me and those are the NailSpa Nail Polish Remover without acetone, the NailSpa Nail Strengthening Cream and the NailSpa Cuticle Remover. The nail polish remover had such a pleasant scent, which is almost a contradictio-in-terminis, ’cause nail polish remover can’t smell nice, ever. Guess this one is an exception! The nail cream has an amazing gel-like consistency which really impressed me and the cuticle remover worked wonders on my dry cuticles (it’s my secret for having perfect manicures, all the time). Really excited to try everything out!
Last up is Planter’s. It’s an all natural product line that is great for sensitive skin. The main ingredient is aloe vera, which awesome for redness, burns and other irritations. I got a packet full of samples (great for travelling!), the Soft Peeling Viso (I’m a sucker for scrubs and peelings, they’re my favourite skincare product) and two Valentine’s Day themed products. The first one is the Planter’s Mascara Natural & Young. It’s a mascara especially formulated for people with really sensitive eyes and it doesn’t contain any nasty chemicals (and it’s only €10!). I love the packaging as well, especially because it matches perfectly with the packaging of the Repair Cream. I haven’t tried the repair cream yet, but I hope it can replace my good ol’ Nivea cream!
All the bloggers together in the photobooth, haha. From left to right: Merel, Tedje, Sherry, me & Laura! During the lunch we they also planned some cool activities for us: we got a some tips and tricks concerning our skin and we got a hand reading session! I’m that type of person that believes in superstitions (trust me, it’s something Russian, haha), so I was excited for this hand reading session. I’m not going to tell you what my hands said about my life, because it’s personal, but it was pretty accurate though! 😉
So yeah, that’s it for today. I want to thank Leijtens PR for this lovely lunch, I really enjoyed it! Definitely one of my favourite events I’ve ever went to! If you want me to review any products in particular, don’t be shy, just leave a comment down below and I will be definitely reviewing it in the near future! I’m really excited to try out all these products (and okay, of course I already tried out a couple of them, I couldn’t resist, haha!). By the way, I also have to say that all these products have great, affordable prices, what I didn’t expect from famous brands like these ones! I hope you have an amazing day and I talk to you later!
