After 3 hours of sleep, a 2,5 hour delay on a flight that only lasted 50 minutes and the stress of deadlines and exams, I can finally say I arrived in Paris. Au revoir Pays-Bas, bonjour Paris! You can't imagine how happy I am to be back here. And don't get me started on the appartment I'm staying at... The Louvre is literally our backyard and we can see the Eiffel Tower from our window, how magical! It gets better though. I actually had one of the loveliest dinners as well at a vegetarian Italian restaurant. Everything was so yummy and tasty, I literally ate until my stomach exploded, haha!
Sometimes certain places can make you re-live and re-feel certain moments of your life you rather would not. I felt like that about Paris. However, that was exactly the reason why I wanted to visit this city again: I can make fresh, better memories here now. I can't wait to discover new cute hotspots, eat macarons and be in awe of the Parisian fashion. Pretty appartments, stunning views and good food: Paris is treating me well! Now I'm heading back to bed (it's actually rather late here already), because tomorrow is going to be a new exciting day as well!

I cannot agree with this any more. I feel the same way about certain places, but I’ve always planned to avoid those places rather than face them head on and challenge those unwanted feelings. Thanks for the fresh perspective! Looks like I have some work to do!
