DO IT YOURSELF | Outfit Inspiration Photo Book

DO IT YOURSELF | Outfit Inspiration Photo BookWow, I actually can’t remember the last time I shared a do it yourself with you on this blog. Probably has to be a veryyyy long time ago, haha! Well, today I’m going to make up for that lost time with a cool idea. Do you ever struggle with choosing what to wear in the morning (yeah, that happens to me like literally every morning?)? If you also have a problem with picking a cute outfit every day, I got you covered with this diy. I’m going to show you how you can make an outfit inspiration photo book. I already made one and I have to say, I love how it turned out!

1. SELECT YOUR FAVOURITE OUTFITS

First of all, you have to select your favourite outfits. Honestly, you don’t even have to take professional photographs to do this. I feel like taking photographs with your iPhone in a mirror can be good enough too. Of course, if you do have pretty outfit pictures of yourself, feel free to use those. Also, keep in mind to select outfits for warmer and colder weather – this way you can use your outfit inspiration photo book whole year round!

2. CHOOSE A CUTE LAY OUT YOU LIKE

Next up is the lay out. You want your photo book to look pretty right? So although you can just put together some photos easily and call it a day, it’s way more fun to experiment with different sizes, colours and amounts. I used Webprint.nl to print my photo book and they have an easy and simple system to pimp your photo book the way you like it. You can also add texts there, so you can add your outfit information to your book. Super handy!

3. GET YOUR PHOTO BOOK PRINTED

Pretty much the most important step: get your photo book printed. My photo book arrived pretty quickly, which is always a plus if you ask me. I hate waiting for things I’ve ordered! I chose for glossy photo paper and a hard cover for my photo book. This way the pictures look the best and you really get inspired looking at them!

4. ENJOY YOUR PERSONAL OUTFIT INSPIRATION BOOK!

It feels pretty special having a whole photo book filled with my photographs. Kinda different than all my baby photo albums my mom made, haha. I think this is a great idea if you struggle with finding something cute to wear in the morning. Just grab your photo book and choose the outfit you’re feeling that day. That’s why I also recommend using your own pictures. Outfit inspiration from other people is nice, but it won’t help you in the morning: it always makes me realize I don’t have enough clothing and I need to go shopping, instead of giving me inspiration to raid my own closet, haha. If you use your own pics, you know you’ll have all the items in your closet to recreate the look again!

DO IT YOURSELF | Outfit Inspiration Photo BookSo, did I inspire you to make an outfit inspiration photo book for yourself? Definitely check out Webprint.nl, because I really love their quality & service! The photo album that I ordered is called ‘Fotoalbum vierkant L Fotopapier hoogglans harde kaft‘. They have a lot of other styles too, so you can always find a photo album that suits your taste. And of course, this also makes a great gift for the upcoming festive season! 🙂

How do you pick your outfit in the morning?

Not only would this be great as outfit inspiration (and I adore this idea), its almost like a fashion diary. If you do one seasonally (like fall/winter, then spring/summer) you can look back later on in life and check out the trends and how you dressed, how you have developed, cool things from years ago you wish you come back, what you did with your hair etc etc.

This is so great. I’m going to have to find somewhere where I live that does these books and get this done.
