I've been completely obsessed with hair accessories recently, and I am pretty sure I am not the only one. It seems like social media has exploded with pretty pictures of hair styles with pearly hair pins, rose gold hair clips & other sparkly hair candy. However, looking at all these pictures I can only think of this: Where on earth did these people find all those hair accessories gems and how can I wear them without looking like I am taking a throwback picture of my "7 year old obsessed with anything cute and sparkly in my hair" look? If these thoughts were going through your mind as well, I got you girl. In today's post I will be sharing my hair accessories collection, as well as all the links I got them from, ánd how I styled them in order to look chic and classy.

PEARLY HAIR CLIPS & PINS
Diamonds are a girl's best friend, but pearls make a damn good wing woman. Ever since I started these pearl and gold hair clips popping up on Instagram, I completely fell in love with their look. They remind me of something vintage Coco Chanel or Audrey Hepburn would wear, paired with a signature red lipstick, and a Chanel Classic handbag (and let's be honest, I wouldn't mind rocking that look either). Since these pearly hair clips and pins are quite a statement, pairing them with my signature messy waves. I always love when classic pieces are styled in a modern way, by adding a casual or tousled touch to the look. Pinning your hair casually back with a beautiful pearly hair clip, you would otherwise only see on the red carpet, totally does that for me. The pearly hair clips & pins I showed in the pictures (together with 7 more gold hair clips!) come in this set I bought available on Amazon. You can find the pearly hair clips set I bought here (12 hair pins for under $20!) - be quick, because it's a bargain!
"And maybe the pink velvet hair bow is a bit much for some, but I think every woman needs to channel her inner girly-girl from time to time."
HAIR BOWS & SCRUNCHIES
Raise your hand if you are a true nineties kid, and you still have a soft spot for scrunchies *slowly raising hand*. Even though scrunchies have been considered a fashion no-go for quite some time, I couldn't be more excited for them making a comeback in my hair and on my wrist. There's just something about the big, fluffy & velvet scrunchies that make me reminisce those good ol' days... I chose to add a modern twist to my scrunchies, by choosing to style a nude hair scarf scrunchie, as well as gold metallic star print scrunchie, and a beautiful pink velvet hair bow scrunchie. The hair scarf scrunchie looks perfect with any all nude/camel outfits, while the gold metallic star print scrunchie is adds a cute touch to any casual look. And maybe the pink velvet hair bow is a bit much for some, but I think every woman needs to channel her inner girly-girl from time to time. I love adding this one to my hair whenever I wear a big, white sweater. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Free People has a great collection of hair glam available. I found the pink velvet bow scrunchie there, as well as the nude hair scarf scrunchie. The gold star scrunchie is from the brand Scunci (mine is sold out, but these are really cute too!), a very affordable hair accessories brand that did a collab recenlty with Sincerely Jules. Definitely check both brands out if you want to expand your hair bows & scrunchies collection!
GOLD & ROSE GOLD HAIR ACCESSORIES
Last, but not least are these gold & rose gold hair accessories that feel like jewelry for your hair. Instead of opting for statement earrings or layered necklaces, I think adding a touch of glam to your look with some beautiful gold or rose gold hair accessories is the way to go this season. I have a bunch of different gold & rose gold hair candy in this category: A beautiful rose gold French hair pin, as well as a gold hair clip from Kristin Ess Hair (unfortunately these hair pins & clips were part of a limited edition gift box, but hopefully she will be releasing a new one soon). The gold circle barette is from Scunci - unfortunately sold out, but you can find an exact dupe of the gold circle hair clip here on Amazon. Although these hair accessories make the perfect statement by themselves, I love pairing 2 to 3 hair pins for a more modern touch to my hair style. I styled two rose gold metal minimal hair slides from Free People by using them to pin back a side hair twist - super easy, yet unique. If you want a bit more sparkle, I love this triple hair side twist I did using three beautiful gold star hair pins from Kristin Ess Hair (again, unfortunately limited edition and sold out, but hopefully they will come back soon!). This hair do gives me astrological boho queen vibes and I am here for it!
I hope you enjoyed this blogpost - it's definitely one of my favorites I've created so far. I loved researching the prettiest hair accessories (and having a good excuse to buy them, oops), as well as styling them. I think the hair accessories trend is great, and I am sure I will be adding more pieces to my collection this year. I am definitely not a fan of all current trends for 2019, but this one is in my opinion cute, classy & chic.
ARE YOU ALSO A VICTIM OF THE HAIR ACCESSORIES TREND?

Hello !
I’ve just discovered your blog thanks to the video you made for EF on your “hotspot guide to Washington D.C”. and I really like it !
Actually, when I saw the hair clips on the photo, I thought you had bought them on the website of Alice&co because they exactly have the same clips (which is weird btw).
But I really enjoyed this article and I love your style ! Thanks for all the links !

Such pretty hair accessories Lilia!
I’ve noticed a recent huge trend for wearing hair clips recently, especially on Instagram. The pearl clips are so pretty I’m definitely going to buy some. Though I think they look especially nice in blonde hair like yours (I’m brunette)!
