THE LOCATION
They have 7 locations in Amsterdam, and also one in Den Haag and Utrecht (not in Groningen unfortunately, boohoo!). As I already said before, I visited SLA located at Ceintuurbaan in Amsterdam. It’s the perfect spot to grab a quick juice or salad. Of course, you can also have a full on meal (talking more about the food here later!).
THE INTERIOR
When it comes to the interior, SLA tried to incorporate their iconic greenery/terrarium in their restaurants. The atmosphere is clean, minimal and very green. I love their wall art and they just killed the table setting if I can say so myself. As I mentioned before, I visited SLA during a press event and I loved the effort they’ve put into all the details (together with the PR agency of course).
THE FOOD
Now onto the most important part: Food. Well guys, I had an amazing 4 courses lunch there (yeah, you read that right, lunch!). Of course, everything was vegan. I don’t remember exactly all the ingredients of the dishes, but trust me, it tasted as good as the pictures look, haha! They use a lot of hummus, greens and lentils, which are I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but I’m really trying to start eating vegan. Honestly, I’m sure I wouldn’t miss meat or fish, I’m kind of lactose intolerant so I’m used to drinking soy or nut milks and I’m not a big egg eater too. The only thing I just can’t live without is cheese, especially mozzarella, parmezan or feta… So if some of my vegan readers have a good alternative for that, let me know. 😉
