HOTSPOT | WADAPARTJA GRONINGEN

HOTSPOT | WADAPARTJA GRONINGENAlthough I’m originally from Amsterdam and lived there nearby most of my life, Groningen is now my home for almost 2 years. I’ve never regretted the decision to move so far up north. The first time I’ve visited Groningen I already felt so at home, so I knew it was meant to be for me to move her. One of the things I love most about Groningen is the fact that it has a lot of new and upcoming hotspots. I feel like there’s opening a new hotspot or cute coffee place every week or something. And I love it, not gonna lie! Today I’m going to show you one of the newer places to be in Groningen called Wadapartja. Wadapartja is a new concept where food, shopping and working comes together. Sounds pretty cool doesn’t it?

THE CONCEPT

Wadapartja is located at Gedempte Zuiderdiep 39-41, Groningen. This is right in the city centre of Groningen. For peeps that know Groningen: if you arrive at the Central Station, walk straight ahead across water. When you arrive at the Pathé Cinema, you need to turn right and after that you’ll see Wadapartja on the left. Wadapartja is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It doesn’t matter whenever you’re craving food, you can always drop by at Wadapartja. Pretty awesome right? Wadapartja doesn’t leave you hanging when it comes to retail therapy too. They sell a lot of cool interior items there too, so definitely take a look at the shopping section as well. And even if you want to come there for a business meeting, Wadapartja got you covered. That’s what I call versatile!

SHOPPING AREA

When it comes to shopping, Wadapartja has a lot of home decor and food items you can check out. Everything has a very vintage/oldskool vibe going on, which I love. Some interior items like these will definitely give your house some character. And can I say that I’m in love with the rose gold hexagons? Just imagine them hanging on my wall with some little cute cacti inside. Goals, literally goals…

DINE AREA

When it comes to the dine area of Wadapartja, you can sit inside or outside. They have an open kitchen (which I always find a plus, I like it when I can see what people are doing with my food + it’s just interesting to watch) and a nice terrace as well. As I already told you, they are open for breakie, lunch and dinner time.

THE FOOD

Of course, Wadapartja is also all about the food. I ordered a melon/lime/fennel juice which wasn’t that great, but the grilled veggies with hummus sandwich was amazing. Definitely recommend trying it out! They also had a couscous salad that seemed very tasty, so I’m going to try that one out the next time I’m around. So yeah, next time you’re in Groningen, don’t forget to check out this cool hotspot!

DO YOU HAVE A HOTSPOT IN GRONINGEN THAT I SHOULD VISIT NEXT?
