Every blogger wants it: that perfect minimal, matching feed on Instagram. But how do you achieve it? Well, I gotcha guuurl: I'm going to give you my 5 tips for the perfect, minimal matching feed on Instagram + I have an exciting giveaway for you as well. Definitely keep reading if you want to check out my Instagram tips, watch my video how I edit my Instagram photos and participate in a really cool giveaway, woohoo!
1. EDIT YOUR PHOTOS ON 100% BRIGHTNESS
This little tip is MAJOR key, trust me: make sure your phone is always on 100% brightness whenever you are editing your photos. Even if your screen is a little dark, you can't see what you're editing very clearly. You'll make your photos way too bright, too dark or too oversaturated. Turning that screen brightness up is a must!
2. WHITE BALANCE IS KEY
Another thing that I really recommend for making that perfect matching feed is checking the white balance of your photos. A lot of people only focus on the main colors/brightness of the photo, but the white balance is in my opinion the most important feature if you want a cohesive feed. If some photos on your feed have a more yellow toned white, while others have a more blue white, it will not look perfect. That's why it's important to stick to the same white balance/white with every photo you edit!
3. USE AN INSTAGRAM PLANNING APP
Another musthave when it comes to creating that perfect, minimal matching feed is using a planning app. I use the app Mosaico, which is an app that you can use to pre-plan your feed and schedule your posts. I personally love this app, because it gives me the ability to drag and drop the different photos I want to upload on Instagram!
4. FIND A FILTER THAT WORKS WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE
I have a quite minimal, blue toned photography style. Although I love the look of people with a very warm or dark feed, it just doesn't suit my style of photography. You have to keep this in mind when choosing a filter you want to use for your feed. I choose a filter that really made my pictures look bright, white and slightly desaturated, which I like. And you just have to figure out which filter complements your photos! If you want to know which filter I use, watch my How I Edit My Instagram Photos With The iPhone 7 video!
5. TAKE YOUR TIME EDITING
Last, but not least: don't rush editing your photos. One thing that makes me very stressed out is when I've been editing my Instagram photos for 20 minutes, while suddenly realizing my phone is about to die. That's why I recommend to always have juicepack with you, wherever you go! My personal favorite is de Moshi IonBank 5k, because it super slim and travel friendly, rose gold (!) and charges my phone 2 times! Unlike most battery packs which require you to carry extra cables, IonBank includes hideaway Lightning and USB cables that minimize clutter while on-the-go. How handy right? It does have an option to plug in your usb cable, so I call that the best of both worlds! It outputs at 2.4 amps for quick-charging of any connected device. I always carry this thing with me, there's nothing worse than a dying phone! Now you have the chance to win one of these cute Moshi powerbanks as well!
You can find more info about the Moshi IonBanks here (they have different sizes and a lot of other cool gadgets as well!).
