The freaking last day of 2014. It’s here. Although I hate the whole ‘new year, new me’ crap, I do have to say, whenever a year is ending, I always feel kind of like I can have a fresh start again. I know it’s totally psychological and shit, but still, around the end of the year I always find new motivation. But, before I will start off with a fresh new page, I’m going to look back at 2014 one more time (and I okay, tomorrow is going to be the last 2014 related post by the way, I promise). So today I’m going to talk about all my favourites of December. Don’t worry, I’m not going to talk about the same things as I did in my yearly recap, so if you’re interested in seeing all the products that I loved in December, keep reading!

I almost never switch up my foundation, so when I do, it has to be a goodie. I’m very picky when it comes to foundations, because I have really bad skin and I’m also very pale with a neutral undertone. This makes it sooo hard for me to find the right foundation for my skintype. I think I bought the L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint a couple months ago, but I immediately regretted it. It was the wrong shade, ’cause it was way too dark and the consistency was very weird. I stopped using it, but this month I was kinda on the lookout for a new foundation so I grabbed this one. And guess what, I totally fell in love with it! Miraciously the colour is pretty perfect for my skin now and although it’s really watery and runny, the coverage is amazeballs. So yeah, definitely impressed by this foundation! The colour that I have is 100 Porcelain by the way.
Another favourite of mine is my MAC Lipstick in Faux. I got it from my boyfriend for Sinterklaas (I know you’re reading this babe, love you <3) and I think this colour + my lips is a match made in heaven. It’s really Kylie Jenner-ish (she’s the bomb) and I feel as badass as her whenever I’m wearing this lippy. Which has been everyday, pretty much. I did a review about this fucking amazing lipstick on my blog as well, so you can check it out here!
As you probably already know, I love my Urban Decay Naked palettes, and especially my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette. I got the Basics 2 palette for Sinterklaas and I used it a lot this month. Kinda weird, Urban Decay advertises this palette as the cooler sister of Naked Basics 1, but I have to say, this palette contains in my opinion more warmer colours than the original Basics palette. Really weird, haha. Still, I freaking love it and I use it really often already. It’s just so handy to take with you you know, especially because of the bigger mirror inside it. I’m already working on a review about this beautiful palette, so stay tuned!
Turtle necks have been a big staple in my wardrobe lately. They’re not only really fashionable, they’re also practical. I always get sick in the colder months and the first sign for me is always a soar throat. A turtle neck keeps my neck warm, so I don’t get sick as easily. I love turtle neck sweaters and turtle neck shirts (croptops!), I think they both look very cute. The sweater in the picture is from One Piece Vintage, the bordeaux turtle neck is from H&M, the one with stripes from Bershka and the black one from Asos Petite. Love them all!
I couldn’t do a monthly faves without talking about these beautiful babies. These shoes are the most perfect creatures that exist on this planet and they’re mine. THEY’RE MINE! Haha, okay I sound like a material girl, but I’m just so obsessed with these shoes, you ain’t even know. They’re the Alexander Wang Gabi Booties With Rose Gold. I think they’re timeless, but still really edgy because of the cutout. They’re my first Alexander Wang shoes and I feel very proud wearing his designs. He’s amazing and I love every piece that he makes. If you wanna see the whole blogpost that I did about these shoes, click here.
My favourite outfit of the day this month is this one. I love the whole Kylie Jenner vibe that this outfit has and I think I need to straighten my hair more often when I see this pic, haha! You can check it out here if you’d like.
I have two lifestyle themed favourites for ya this time. The first one had to be, of course, my make-up vanity. I’m totally obsessed with this thing and I catch myself staring at it everyday, haha. It’s like a dream come true for me, definitely! I owned the dresser for a while now, but this month I finally added the lights and the mirror, which makes it look so much prettier. My room is complete now (I have only one weird messy spot in my room with my vacuum cleaner and shit, but I have no idea where to put it so I guess I have to live with that, haha)! My last favourite this month is my Diptyque candle. I think they look absolutely stunning in my interior and I love the way they smell. Even if I don’t burn them, they definitely make my room smell nice. I got my Diptyque candle in the Baies/Berries fragrance, which is really sweet and fruity. I will probably never burn this candle, because I think it’s just way too pretty to be burned, haha!
I hope you enjoyed my last monthly faves blogpost of the year. I didn’t have any music, film or series to show you this month, hope you don’t mind. There just wasn’t anything that really stood out to me on that field. With that being said, I hope you have a fucking amazing New Year’s Eve filled with loads of fireworks, good music and amazing memories. Let the last day of 2014 and the first day of 2015 be a blast! Talk to next year!
