MONTHLY FAVES: SEPTEMBER 2014

Hi guys!
Wtf happened to the month of September. It feels like I just started at uni again, but actually, I’ve been going to law school for a month now. That shit definitely cray cray! I had a great month though. Busy, of course, stressful, yes, but I also did some awesome things this month. My highlights were definitely seeing all of my friends I haven’t seen a long time, the blogger meeting reunion and the One Piece Vintage sale I went to this weekend. So yeah, a lot of cool stuff this month, for sure! If you’re interested in seeing all the cool stuff I loved this month as well, this blogpost is totally for you! And let’s be honest: who doesn’t love monthly favourites articles right? I think they’re my favourite articles to read, because it’s just like reading a lot of mini reviews.

Beauty
My first beauty favourite this month were The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil body products: the shower gel, the body scrub and especially the body butter. I’ve already reviewed them for you (click here!), so I won’t get into the details again. As you can see, I’ve already used up quite some product, which is a good thing right? At least you know I really love them! The smell of these products is divine: they smell totally like the Moroccanoil products, which I love.
My next favourites are make up related. I’ve really been into cream products this month, don’t know why. I actually never owned a lot of cream face products, but this month I got my hands on a NYX cream blush in Boho Chic and the & Other Stories Contour Cream. They look totally amazing on your cheeks when you wear them together. I use the Bronzer brush from Sephora to buff in the contour cream and I use the mineral powder brush to apply the blush to the apples of my cheeks. I will be doing a tutorial about how I contour with these products in the near future, so stay tuned for that!
Fashion

Now onto September fashion faves! I had to include my fur vest from H&M in my monthly faves, because I think it’s fucking amazing. I love how cute and cosy it looks and I feel like a little cat when I’m wearing it, haha! I especially like how it looks paired with a cool leather jacket. Stay tuned for a lot more fur vest action next month ;).

My 2 Alexander Wang Rocco and Rockie inspired bags had to be in my monthly faves as well. Just look at how badass they are! I’ve been rocking the Rockie (haha) knock off from Brandy Melville a lot in the summer and at the moment I’m using the bigger version from Hippe Hebbedingetjes for school everyday. Don’t they look cute together? I wish that I’ll be able to show you the real deal some day in my monthly faves though ;).

Of course, my white Nike Janoskis had to be in my monthly faves. I’ve been wearing these beauties like crazy this whole month. Only downside to these sneakers is that they literally attract dirt. I feel like my shoes don’t get dirty that easily, but with these ones it’s like I’m walking in mud all day, because I always (ALWAYS) have to clean them when I get home. Ooh well, I’ll do anything for these amazing white babies, haha! If you’re wondering where I got them, I bought them at a skate store in Groningen called Stigmatic.
Favourite OOTD
My favourite outfit of the day had to include my fur vest. I wore this outfit during the Lifesplash blogger meeting that I had at the end of August (I know, shame on me, I actually didn’t wear this outfit in September, but sshhh don’t tell). If you want to see all the deets about the outfit, click here.
Series
This month, I definitely have one favourite show that made a huge impact on me. If you don’t read my personal posts you probably don’t know what I’m talking about, but I’m actually refering to this post that I wrote because one of the episodes of The Leftovers that I watch. The series is weird as fuck and I definitely didn’t understand a thing when I first watched it. And if I’m totally honest, there are still a lot of things that I don’t really understand. I don’t wanna spoil anything, so I’m not gonna tell a lot about it. Just imagine how you would feel if all of a sudden 2% of the world’s population disappeared. I know, it’s sounds random, just go watch this show!
My second favourite show this month was True Blood. I’m so sad that this amazing series is finally over :(. I think this show was TRUEly badass and I will definitely miss it. There is a lot of sex and blood going on in this series, so if you’re not into that stuff, don’t watch it. But if you do like bloodthirsty vampires and a lot of other weird ass creatures as well, this series is definitely for you!
That’s it for this monthly faves blogpost! I know it’s crazy that the month September is over again, but I’m really excited for October! October is my favourite month of the year, because it’s my bday! I’m actually pretty nervous though, because I will be turning 20 in 10 days. 10 fucking days?! After that my teenage life is officially over. Damn, saying that out loud makes me pretty terrified. I guess I can’t do anything about it, so I will have to embrace it. Although I still feel like a 6 year old kid sometimes, I will never grow up ;).
