As most of you guys now, my home town is Groningen City. I've lived there for 4 years, and definitely had a great time there. Before I left to start my new chapter in Washington DC, I did want to share my favorite hotspots in Groningen with you. The city of Groningen is one of the reasons why I decided to study at the University of Groningen - it has such a special atmosphere! That's why I created this Groningen City Hotspot Guide, with all my must visits in my city. I know Amsterdam is definitely more popular choice to visit in the Netherlands, but Groningen is a great city to see as well. If you've considered visited Groningen, keep reading (and if not, I hope I can convince you)!
GRONINGEN HOTSPOT CITY GUIDE VIDEO
In collaboration with the University of Groningen I decided to create this Groningen Hotspot City Guide video where I show you all my favorite places to visit. Think of Westerhaven, Noorderplantsoen, the Academy Building and many other cute places! Down below I have also created an overview for you with addresses + links with extra info about the hotspots!
LITTLE LOVELY LIVING
The first hotspot I wanted to show you is Little Lovely Living. This is a super cute interior shop + café where you can find the cutes home accessories and most Instagrammable milkshakes and hot cocos! If you are a big sweet tooth, you have to visit this place! Little Lovely Living has two locations in Groningen, but my personal favorite is the one at the Astraat, because it's bigger and it has more natural daylight.

Address: Astraat 16, 9718 CR Groningen
If you want to keep things a little bit more healthy, Feel Good is the hotspot for you. Their menu changes twice a year and is filled with veggie burgers, smoothie bowls and banana pancakes. They also have very yummy smoothies and the girls working there are very nice. It's located right in the city centre, so you can't miss it!

Address: Oude Kijk in Het Jatstraat 29, 9712 EB Groningen
Last, but so not least: My all time favorite hotspot Vapiano. If you love Italian food, this is the place to be. I always go for the whole wheat pasta funghi and it is SO good. I could literally eat it everyday haha. The Vapiano in Groningen has a lovely roof terrace with a stunning view of the Martinitoren and is open everyday till 23:00, which is perfect for those late study sessions at the University Library. And yes, there's also a Vapiano in Washington DC and I usually go there once a week - it's a bit of an addiction, haha!

Hope you enjoyed this blogpost! Also, today is my blog anniversary: exactly 3 years ago on this date, I published my very first blogpost. So much has happened since then - it was honestly the best decision I've ever made. Feeling very proud and grateful!
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO GRONINGEN?
