Oh, how I miss Paris! Now that I've been back in Groningen, in the real world, I can't wait to plan my next trip again. Although I would like to visit a different city, I wouldn't mind to visit Paris again too... Especially because I had such a pleasurable stay there. One of the hotels I stayed at was Hotel de Nell. It's a relaxed and chic luxury 5-star hotel, located in the city centre of Paris.
Whether it’s in one of our 33 rooms or suite, settled in at the restaurant or lounging under the bar’s glass roof, the Hôtel de Nell welcomes you in style, with intimate spaces trimmed in exclusive décor with the sole objective of enhancing your well-being. The Hôtel de Nell is much more than comfort. It’s a state of being.
Whenever I visit a new city, I always like to bring a new perfume with me. I don't know about you, but I definitely associate different scents with particular memories. This time I've chosen to bring my current favorite fragrances with me, which is Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamon Cologne and Peony & Blush Suede Cologne. Jo Malone is well-known for their unique scents. Their philosophy is that fragrance is a personal statement. And what if you could create a scent of your own? That's where Jo Malone's Fragrance Combining comes in. Jo Malone scents can be worn solo or layered for truly individual effects. While every cologne is stunning worn alone, each is designed to be layered with complementary or contrasting Jo Malone colognes and crèmes. I've been combining the Mimosa & Cardamon with Peony & Blush Suede, which I feel really represents me. Although it's pretty expensive (€52 for 30 ml), this scent combination has stolen my heart completely. And the fact that they remind me of my trip to Paris is also not that bad... You can find Jo Malone at De Bijenkorf or online.
Essentials du jour: Jo Malone Colognes, Gentle Monster Sunglasses, Alexander Wang Prisma Bag and Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Kit. I have to bring these items with me, for sure!
What I loved about Hotel de Nell is their interior and great service. We stayed at a lovely room with a chic yet minimal interior. A big bed, 3 (!) really cute balconies and a walk in closet: I like. However, the thing that I loved most about the room was the bathroom. It was inspired by Japanse interior design, and it looked so good. Together with some Nuxe and Bvlgari products I had one of the nicest baths ever. So if you're looking to wind down in pure luxury during your stay in Paris, Hotel de Nell is definitely a good choice.
