If you know me, you’ll know that I love my long, lushious lashes. I often get the question what I do to get my lashes in the way I usually wear them. Although I love my falsies, for my trip to New York City and Washington DC I wanted something a bit less time consuming and effortless. That’s why I decided to go for a set of new lash extension! I heard great things about the lash extensions by The Royal Lashes, so that’s why I had to try it out. And I have to say: these lashes give that va-va-voom to my eyes, love it! Keep reading if you want to see more (before and after) pictures + the process.
I did my lash extensions at The Royal Lashes in Amsterdam. Marina is a lovely person and a really experienced lash exentension specialist. She uses really fine, soft lashes that look very natural (instead of those big, plastic lashes a lot of other lash extensions specialists use). She used the Russian Volume technique on me, and mixed a lot of different lengths, starting from 9mm and up to 14mm, all with a ‘D’ curl, on my eyes.
These are my natural lashes without any mascara on them whatsoever. As you can see, I have really blonde lashes, which makes me a look a bit like a zombie if I have no mascara on. And because I usually wear falsies, I think the difference is even bigger, lol.
I’m in love with the final result! I think these after pictures are pretty shocking, such a big difference, haha! I love a good dramatic lash, but if you’re more into natural lash extensions, Marina from The Royal Lashes can do that too for you. This style of lash extensions is called Russian Volume by the way (Russians do it better lol). Although these lash extensions seem very dramatic, a lot of them will fall out over the first few days, making them look way more natural. Starting off with dramatic lash extensions means that you can enjoy them longer! 🙂 Also, you can check out my other experiences with lash extensions here + the update post here.
You can find more info about The Royal Lashes lash extensions here at her Facebook page. I definitely recommend checking them out if you’re ever in Amsterdam!
