I really dig mixing textures. Using different materials while layering is the perfect way to keep you warm, cosy ánd stylish during the Winter time. Although people sometimes tend to stare a bit weird at you whenever you’re wearing an all black outfit during the warmer months, in this season you don’t have to worry about weird looks. So yeah, although I’m totally over Winter already (can it be Spring now already + can my exams be done for once or nah?), I want to enjoy the last bits of sweater weather properly by wearing all black.
The key to keeping a all black outfit interesting is by mixing textures. Here I mixed wool, knits and faux leather materials together to create a more interesting look. Wearing all black errthang can be dull, but by mixing different materials you’ll keep your outfit cool and interesting to look at. Also, if you’re struggling with finding the right way to wear pants and over the knee boots: I gotcha girl! The key to this look is – again – mixing textures. If you wear black skinny jeans with black over the knee boots, your legs can look kinda weird. To make it a more flattering ensemble, you’ll have to wear a different kind of texture: try to mix (faux) suede over the knees with some coated/leather skinnies as I did here. Trust me, this is a guaranteed success. For me, this is the secret to pulling of thigh high boots, even if you’re petite! You’re welcome. 😉
