Hey!
Winter is coming (or actually fall, but hey, as a true Game Of Thrones fanatic I couldn’t resist)! That’s the first thought that came up to me when I saw my desktop filled with all of my ootds. My summery outfits are coming to an end and are getting replaced with my more fall appropriate ones. But still, to celebrate the amazingness of summer 2014 (because c’mon, it was truly an amazing summer guys), I have this summery outfit of the day for you today. I’m rocking a couple of new things that I haven’t worn before, so I think a lot of you will appreciate this outfit. It’s also quite edgy, so if you’re into that shit, keep reading!
Sorry if these pics aren’t the best ones ever. I took them in Milan, when I was on vacation in Italy with my mom and her boyfriend. My mom wasn’t in the mood for taking pictures (no, I don’t have a professional personal photographer unfortunately), so I couldn’t convince her to take more pictures of me. Such a shame, haha. Hope you don’t mind though!
The first thing that you probably notice in these pictures is my HUF buckethat. I know, it’s a love-it-or-hate-it kinda piece, but I definitely love it. ScHoolboy Q isn’t the only one who can rock that buckethat swag you know! I think it’s the perfect girly buckethat, because it has fun, bright colours. I especially love it with my straightened hair. I got it on sale, which makes this buckethat even better.
The bag that I’m rocking is this Alexander Wang Rockie look a like from Brandy Melville. I’m totally in love with this bag. It’s so practical, especially because it fits a hella lot of stuff, even though it looks so small.
I’m also rocking another really swaggy piece: my diy ripped mom jeans. I got them at Pull & Bear (my favourite jeans shop!), but I decided to add a bit more badassness to them by ripping them apart. I love how they turned out, I think the huge holes look really cool! I also rolled the bottoms up, because I don’t think mom jeans look cute without that. I paired them with this loose croptop from Brandy Melville. I like the sporty vibe of this tee. I think it goes well with the whole ‘idea’ of this outfit.
Don’t touch my Nikes (okay I must admit, it sounded better in Dutch: Je moet niet zitten aan me Nikes, haha)! I’m totally obsessed with these white beauties. Of course, they are a pain in the ass to rock, because you need to clean them every five minutes, but they’re so worth it. I love how clean and fresh they look. Can’t you believe that I almost didn’t buy them, because I wasn’t so sure about white sneaks? I know, I’m a cray person, haha. Definitely a good buy, I tell you that. They’re Nike Janoskis by the way.
To add some interesting stuff to this outfit, I decided to rock my body chain from H&M. Again, it’s a pretty unconventional piece, but (again) I love it. I also wore my daily armcandy and earrings (from River Island, H&M & F21) that you can’t see because of my buckethat.
Kinda creepy smile, but oh well, the sun was shining way too bright in ma face.
And that’s it for today’s summery outfit of the day! Did you liked it? I think this outfit is not everybody’s cup of tea, but that’s totally okay. I love the hiphop + ’90’s look that’s going on in this outfit. Together with minimalism, they’re one of my favourite styles/trends ever. I like to mix and match different elements of these styles, to create new, unique outfits. That’s why I feel like my style is different from others. But anyways, at the moment I’m going to study again (I know, my life sounds super exciting), but when you’re reading this, I’m probably on my way to the ice skating rink, yayy! Wish me luck, it’s going to be the first time for me this season 🙂
