REVIEW: PLANTER’S VALENTINE’S DAY PRODUCTS

planter's review mascara repair cream soft peeling viso natural skincare skinHey guys!

Everybody’s talking Valentine’s Day on their blogs, but to be honest, I don’t really find it that interesting to read about. So, Valentine’s Day is almost here, so what? But, because I do have one kind of Valentine’s Day themed blogpost for ya, I thought it was time to share it with you. It doesn’t have that much to do with Valentine’s Day, ’cause trust me, these products are always great to use, but the packaging is Valentine’s Day themed and hella cute. I’m talking about the newest Planter’s products and I’m going to review them for ya today.

Both the Repairing Cream & the Mascara Natural & Young have Valentine’s Day themed packaging, which looks very adorable if you ask me!

I’m going to start off with the mascara. Well, I don’t have to tell you again how cute the packaging is right? 😉 Anyways, the wand of this mascara is pretty regular. It’s kinda big, but not enormous, which I like. I usually prefer plastic mascara wands instead of mascara wands with fibers, but because this one is pretty big, I still think it works fine. The cool thing about this mascara is that it’s especially formulated for people with very sensitive eyes. I have kinda sensitive eyes, but nothing major. A big problem for me though is tearing. My eyes are almost always watery and sometimes mascara can make that even worse. So I was curious to see if this mascara could solve that problem!

planter's review mascara repair cream soft peeling viso natural skincare skinAh, I love before and after photos, especially when they’re impressing like this one, haha. In the top picture you see my lashes without any macara on it, in the second one you can see me wearing the Planter’s mascara. As you can see the mascara separates my lashes very nicely and it adds a lot of volume to them. I do have to say that this mascara can create that ‘clumpy lash look’ sometimes, so if you’re not into more thick and dry formulated mascaras, this one is not for you. If you have sensitive eyes/skin though, this mascara is perf, because it doesn’t irritate my eyes at all and it’s very easy to take off. I’m definitely loving this mascara, so I will use it until it’s empty!

Some full face shots so you can see the impact of this mascara clearly! I love the separation, I hate it when mascaras make one big mess of your lashes, haha. The mascara is also very affordable, because it’s €10!

Even more Valentine themed stuff, ’cause next up is this Repairing Cream. I’ve always been a fan of tin packaging, I think it looks so cute! This repairing cream is good to use on your face and body. The name already suggests what it does, it repairs, dry, rough skin. I immediately thought of a more natural version of Nivea cream when I saw this cream, so I was curious to try it out.

planter's review mascara repair cream soft peeling viso natural skincare skinWell let me tell you, this cream is totally different from Nivea. Although it looks very thick in the tin, it’s actually more of a gelly consistency. This makes it very easy for your skin to absorb all the goodness and the moisture of this cream. It does leave a little bit of a shiny residu on your skin after you rubbed it in (you can see how minimal it is though in the picture), so it keeps your skin moisturized even after applying it. I have combination skin and I recommend putting this cream on your face at night. I think it’s just a bit too rich for me to use it as a day cream (for dry skin it’s perfect though!), but it is a great moisturizing cream for at night! I haven’t tried it on my body yet, but if it’s good on the face, it’s good on the body right? I also wanted to mention it takes quite some time for you to see the real difference a skincare product makes. This is just the instant result, because I haven’t tried this cream out for a month. The price is again, €10, which is great for an all natural skincare product if you ask me!

The last product that I’m going to review today is the Soft Peeling Viso. Pretty weird name actually, because this isn’t a chemical peeling, but a physical scrub (there are little scrub particles in it, instead of acid), so the name is kinda misleading. Anyways, the packaging is hygienic, especially because I usually use scrubs in the shower.

It’s very moisturizing for a scrub, which is definitely a big plus. Scrubs can be drying on your skin, but this one definitely isn’t. The scrub particles are also finely milled, so you can’t see them, but they are pretty ‘harsh’ at the same time. They do scrub your face very well (I hate it when a scrub does nothing for my face). Although this scrub is pretty abrasive, because of the creamy texture and the all natural products, it doesn’t irritate the skin at all. I prefer using chemical peelings, but this is definitely one of the best facial scrubs I’ve ever tried. The price is €13.

IMG_2461bewerktSo yeah, that’s it for today’s review. This is one of the 3 reviews that I’m going to write for ya about this Blogger Lunch event that I went to a couple weeks back. I hope found it helpful! I’m all about the natural skincare or make-up. Finding natural skincare or make-up that’s also really affordable is pretty hard, so I’m glad I was able to share with you these awesome products! I haven’t mentioned any particular ingredients in this review, but know that Planter’s mostly uses Aloe Vera (which is amazing for your skin) and it doesn’t contain any paraffin, SLES or SLS. I’m very impressed by this brand and I hope I got you on the natural skincare bandwagon as well!
