REVIEW: SALLY HANSEN MIRACLE GEL POLISHES

Hello!
I think that one of the best things ever is whenever you just cleaned your whole house (well, okay, semi-studio to be exact lol) and wake up early on a Saturday, which means that you don’t have to hurry to finish all your tasks. Okay, don’t take me wrong, I love sleeping in, but if I have a day to run a lot of errands, I love waking up early. Okay, that was just a lil’ side note. The main thing this blogpost is going to be about (if you haven’t red the title yet) are the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Polishes. They are a real hype in the Dutch beauty community, so as a profound gel nails lover, I had to give them a go.

Okay, the amount of the polishes that I already have gives my opinion away a bit, don’t you think… Anyways, I have 5 colours (and I’m planning on getting the black and maybe the white one as well) + one topcoat to seal the gel polish.
I always like to show you how my nails look without any nail polish, before I show you my manicured hands. I don’t know why, I think it’s just kinda nice to see the clear surface before the review? I’m pretty happy with my nails actually: they’re long and I take really good care of them. Funny fact, I actually wanted to become a nail/hands model when I was younger, just because people always said that I had nice hands, haha.
I’m gonna start off with the lightest shade called 110 Birthday Suit. It’s a really pretty, pinkish/greyish nude that looks great with my skin colour, but I do think it will look good with a lot of other skintones as well! I love nude nailpolish, ’cause I think that they make your hands look elegant and your nails even longer. I applied 3 coats, so it’s not that opaque unfortunately. I do feel like this nailpolish lasts the longest out of all the polishes. This one didn’t cheap for a whole week! That’s amazing for my nails, ’cause usually I get chips after 2/3 days.
Next up is this beautiful minty colour called 240 B Girl (funny fact, I got this polish when I was a Bday Girl lol). How perfect is this colour in the spring right? I needed 2 coats and this colour didn’t cheap for 7 days as well. Say yay for amazing lasting power!
I love my baby blue, so I had to have this colour as well. It’s called 370 Sugar Fix and it matches my baby blue sweaters perfectly! I think this colour is really pretty in the spring, but it also looks nice in the winter. I had to use 2 coats and it lasted quite well on my nails as well, 7 days without chipping!
Now onto the darker colours. How stunning is this red? The name of this polish is 470 Red Eye. It’s a true, little bit orange-y red that is absolute classic if you ask me. It’s so freaking opaque, that you can get away with only 1 coat (I used 2 in the picture to let it shine even more). This polish doesn’t last that long though, because it chipped after 3 days, just like regular nailpolish. I will still use it anyway, because the colour is lovely and it lasts just as long as regular nailpolish. And just look at how glossy the finish is by the way!
This is the last and darkest colour that I’m going to show you. It’s called 440 Dig Fig and it looks amazing with my MAC Diva lipstick (I always try to pair them together haha). This colour did last a bit better than the other red one, but still not as long as the nude polish. I used 2 coats, but you can get away with wearing only 1, because it’s also pretty opaque.
To sum it up: I love these gel polishes. They have the exact same finish and feel as regular gel nails (I had gel nails done this summer) and the colours are absolutely stunning. The lighter colours seem to last better than the darker colours, but I have no idea why. They don’t last 2/3 weeks like gel nails, but they do last a good week, which is amazing if you ask me. Yup, I’m definitely convinced, no more regular nail polish for me! They have a huge colour range, so I will definitely be getting more of them. Oh and by the way, you only need a topcoat, no basecoat required. I was a bit scared for yellowy nails, but don’t worry, they stay as pinky as they always were!
I hope you enjoyed this review! I know a lot of bloggers have been reviewing these nail polishes, but I also wanted to let you know what I thought about them. Also, if you’re wondering, I’m still sick. Sucks big time, but luckily I am recovering. I hope my voice will return tomorrow, ’cause it sucks to sound like a 50 year old man whenever you’re talking (okay, sorry for all the 50 year old men reading this). I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I talk to ya tomorrow!

Dig Fig and Birthday Suit look superb! Was so curious about these. Did expect the wear to be a bit longer because it has gel and miracle in its name.

Mooie lakjes! Ik vind vooral de donkerrode erg mooi, maar dat is dan ook eigenlijk mijn all time favoriete nagellakkleur.
