It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed a skincare product. I promised myself to post more about skincare on my blog, so that’s why I thought it was time for a new blogpost about skin! Skincare is one of the most important things when it comes to beauty in my opinion. You can buy the most expensive foundations, but if yo base isn’t right, yo face isn’t right (okay didn’t mean to sound like a cool as rapper). And the most important skin care step is cleansing yo face (okay I will stop with the ‘yo’ know, I promise). Not cleansing your face can cause build up on your skin, which could be one of the many reasons you break out. Applying make-up is also much easier if you have a clean slate to begin with. Today I’m going to review The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil and if you wanna know what I think about it, keep reading!
PACKAGING
The oil comes in a pump packaging, which is way more hygienic than the the tin of the cleansing butter that I reviewed a while back. That was also the biggest reason why I wanted to try this oil out. Only thing is that the packaging isn’t that amazing for travelling. You can lock the pump, but because it’s oil, sometimes there’s still a bit of residue leaking out. So I definitely don’t recommend travelling with this product. Using it at your bathroom’s sink is fine though.
CONSISTENCY
Let’s talk consistency. I couldn’t take a proper photo of the effect of this oil, but I hope you can see the slight difference in texture of the left and right side. On the left side I added some water to the oil and it turned into a slightly more milky consistency. On the right side I just have the oil without any added water. This interesting switch of textures makes it possible for you to remove all of your make-up, without feeling super oily afterwards. It still leaves a slightly oily residue on your skin, but because this oil contains only (literally ONLY) natural ingredients, it’s great for every skintype. I checked all of the ingredients and I was really impressed by all the goodness that I saw. The Body Shop, you’re doing a great job!
EFFECT
Now onto the most important part of this review: does it work? Well, judge for yourself: I know this is a very unflattering photo, but as you can see, my make-up is literally melting away. It dissolves my make-up perfectly and leaves my combination skin hydrated! I do recommend double cleansing whenever using this product. I use this oil to get rid of all of my make-up and afterwards I use a regular facial cleanser to clean my face.
My overall conclusion is that I do really love this product. The ingredients are great, it removes all of my make-up very gently and the packaging is way better than the Cleansing Butter. I’m still not 100% sure if I prefer this oil over the Cleansing Butter, just because I have a weak spot for tin packaging and the butter was very nice to use as well. I just love them both!
That’s it for today’s review. I hope you enjoy it and if you have any questions, comment down below! Have a wonderful day and I will talk to you soon!
HAVE YOU TRIED FACIAL CLEANSING OILS BEFORE?

Klinkt als een fijn product! De werking ziet er in ieder geval goed uit, je make up smelt inderdaad van je huid af.

I have never, I do like these cleansing products of TBS though. Also the butter sounds very interesting to cleanse with.

Yeah I love them both! xo

Lijkt me heel erg fijn! Ik gebruik nu een cleansing olie van Amanprada.

Wow, ziet er goed uit! Ik ben altijd wat voorzichtig met olien, maar ik denk dat ik me er toch maar aan moet wagen.
