Good morning guys! Today it’s time to share ALL my adventures during my stay in New York City in this Travel Diary. I know I’ve been spamming you with my NYC themed posts, but I made soooo many pretty pictures and unforgettable memories, I want to share everything with you! And yes, don’t worry: after this post I have two NYC outfits still to show you and then I’m going to talk about my trip to Washington D.C. – I know you’re all very excited for that one too :). Anyways, during my stay in NYC, I discovered a couple of cool places I wanted to talk to you about. That’s why I made this Travel Diary with my New York City Hotspots. Hope you enjoy!
THE STANDARD, HIGH LINE HOTEL
We started our first day with a delicious breakfast at The Standard Grill at The Standard, High Line Hotel. And yes, this avocado toast looks just as yummy as it tasted! You can read more about my stay in The Standard Hotel + their cool hotspots in this separate blogpost I wrote.
Address: 848 Washington St, New York City
We also took some time to make outfit pictures – of course! You can find the final result here.
A luxury bar for hot chocolates and chocolate desserts? Only in New York. This cute café was just too cool to pass up. I ordered a cinnamon hot coco and a dark chocolate mousse and it was delicious. And how cute is this interior btw (pretty lights and marble tables – yes please!)? I definitely recommend checking out this place if you’re also a big chocolate lover!

Gelso & Grand
After a whole day discovering Greenwich and Lower Manhattan my mom and I wanted to eat some dinner. We heard great things about Little Italy, so we decided to give it a go. After searching for that perfect ‘modern’ Italian restaurant, we found Gelso & Grand. I had a delicious pomodore pasta and some bruschetta on the side. Yum!
Address: 186 Grand St, New York City
The next day we woke up early – we had a busy sight seeing schedule to fulfill! First stop was the famous Magnolia Bakery (say hi to my Sex and the City fans!). They had the prettiest cupcakes, brownies and pies. Literally wanted to try out EVERYTHING. I kept my sweet tooth at bay and only bought an apple pie (my mom) and a brownie (for me). It was super tasty!
Address: 401 Bleecker St, New York City
TOP OF THE ROCK
Our next stop was the Rockefeller Center. We wanted to visit the Top of the Rock, because this would give us one of the prettiest NYC views from up high. Honestly, this was unbelievable. I kind of felt like I was flying when I was looking down. And I just love how these pictures turned out! One warning tho: be prepared for long, micro-managed queues, haha.
Address: 45 Rockefeller Plaza, New York City
NEW YORK ADORNED
When I booked my tickets to NYC, I was certain of one thing: I wanted to get a new piercing there at the piercing shop New York Adorned. I heard that they were an amazing piercer shop + had the cutest jewellery ever. I ended up going for a new helix piercing with a rose gold ring. Love it!
Address: 47 2nd Ave, New York City
JOE & THE JUICE
Guys. This has been my new favorite hotspot EVER. The food, the juice, the atmosphere – it’s a-ma-zing. Literally ate the best toasted bread with avocado here + the juices are too die for too. This makes me hungry, instantly… A must visit if you ask me!
Address: 67 Spring St, New York City
If you want to see my trip to NYC in motion, watch my newest New York City Diaries vlog. If you liked it, I would also love it if you’d subscribe to my Youtube channel. I’m just hit 40k and I can’t wait to reach my next goal 50k, woohoo! Also, for those of you wondering: yesterday I had my mock trial for the course Student Court. My plea went great and I got a 8/10, which is high enough for cum laude (you had to have a 8.0 for your mock trial, otherwise you wouldn’t get your cum laude, which I don’t have anymore, but I hope the board will make an exception for me). I still have 3 courses to go, need to finish my application for the Research master and work on my essay for my Honours College research internship – then I’m done. I’m almost there…
