YUMMY THINGS | THE PERFECT BREAKFASTI think this saying has become a cliché, but it’s still so true: breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You should never, ever (EVER) skip it! But as so many things in this life, people don’t always practice what they preach. I have to say that I’m definitely guilty of skipping my brekkie whenever I’m in a hurry (which is usually always the case – I’m not a morning person at all). Lately, I’ve been really trying to wake up early and start my day the right way, with some good ol’ breakfast. That’s why I’m sharing this easy and pretty quick breakfast idea with you today. For me it’s the perfect breakfast!

Breakfast smoothie

This breakfast smoothie is perfect for all peeps that are always in a rush and want to eat their breakfast on the go. I love taking my breakfast with me to my classes, because I’m a pro in eating/drinking and writing/listening to lectures at the same time, haha. I usually vary a lot with the recipes of my smoothies, but this time I used some lactose-free milk, almond yoghurt (love this!), oats, grapes and 1 banana. Put all of your ingredients in a blender and afterwards poor it in a cute mug or mason jar if you’re on the go! It turned out to be a softly sweet smoothie (sssss, try to say that 5 times in a row, haha). Definitely recommend this combo!

Healthy avocado toasts

The breakfast smoothie is a good option if you’re late and don’t have the time to really ‘make’ something, but if you do, try these healthy avocado toasts. They’re easy to make and taste really good. All you need are some crackers or toasts (or even bread or something) – I used rosemary crackers, ’cause they’re my fave. Then you need to slice a ripe avocado, add some cherry tomatoes and finish it of with some rocket, salt & pepper. That’s all there is to it. Easy huh?

I kinda hope I convinced you to never skip your brekkie again. I mean, this looks just too delicious to pass up right? What I love about this breakfast idea is the fact that it has loads of fruits and veggies all together. I’m a big lover of fruits and vegetables and I think it’s important to eat them everyday. I want my body to stay strong and healthy, so it needs all of the vitamins it can get! So yeah, for me this is definitely the perfect breakfast. Oh and don’t forget to always drink a glass of water with it as well ;).

    Ziet er allemaal verrukkelijk uit! Hoe krijg je van die mooie avocado plakjes? Ik heb het vermoeden dat ik te lang wacht waardoor de avocado te zacht is om mooie plakjes op te leveren. Maar als ie nog vrij hard is, vind ‘m ik niet lekker (smaakt dan “te rauw”). Ha ha, de uitdagingen van het leven 😉
